Review My Book on Amazon

Note: Amazon will not let you write a review unless you have purchased the book from them.

  1. Go to the Internet. In the blank at the top, type the URL: “Amazon.com” When the site comes up, you will see an empty white bar at the top of the screen, with the word “All” at its left.

    2. Click on the down-arrow that says “All”. You will see a long list of items.

    3. Scroll down to “Books” and click on “Books”
    The empty white bar reappears with the word “Books” in the same little grey box at the left.

    4. In the empty white bar, type in the name of the book and the name of the author: example: Perfect! A Story of Love and Suspense Sharon Hickey Sterling.
    When the picture of the book comes up, next to it you will see a bar of five orange stars and a number. They represent how well the book was rated by readers and how many readers reviewed it. (None, if it is brand new.)

    5. Click on the orange stars. Scroll down.

    6. Click on the red print “See All Customer Reviews”.

Winning-How Sweet It Is

There’s nothing like winning an award to boost confidence and inspire one to continue on the chosen path! Fatal Refuge, Book Two of the Arizona Thriller Trilogy won second place in the Colorado Independent Publisher’s Association Mystery/Thriller contest.  Even greater was the first place win in the National Indie Excellence Awards, category Regional Fiction, Southwest.

Can you believe this book:  Proof of Heaven  A Neurosurgeon’s Journey into the Afterlife by Eben Alexander, M.D. ?

     This book relates the “near-death experience” (NDE) of a neurosurgeon.  There are hundreds of such accounts in the media, but this book claims that its author’s experience was both unique and compelling enough to render proof that consciousness exists independent of bodily existence, that life goes on after death.  Woody Allen once said, “I don’t believe in an afterlife but I’m taking a change of underwear anyway.”  We share his equivocation but we prefer to know for sure if we should pack those skivvies.
     Twenty-one years ago, I wrote a report on the NDE for a college class.  I began my research by attending a meeting of a local chapter of the International Association for Near-Death Studies, where I met and heard the stories of several NDE’rs.  Why do such accounts fascinate us?  Perhaps because they offer the best elements from both a good old-fashioned ghost story and a bulletin from the frontiers of science.  They tantalize us with the promise Continue reading
